Written by Allison Matos  |  18. November 2016

LI's Adorable Adoptables is a weekly column by Allison Matos, a lifelong Long Island resident who has been advocating animal adoption since 2012. Allison's weekly posts highlight local animals in need of adoption, and cover general animal welfare topics as well.

Petite Pit Pepper picked a pair of pickled peppers on her way from the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter to Last Hope Animal Rescue. Say that a few times fast! Being 1 of over 100 pitties at the town shelter, Pepper found it hard to stand out.  This gorgeous 1 year old Pit is adorable, and very special. She is sweet, smart (knows sit and shake), and is in search of her forever home. Head down to Last Hope in Wantagh to adopt her today!  For more information, check out her webpage.

Wondering who that stunningly gorgeous long haired kitty is? Well that's Fairfield! This handsome fella was born in April 2016 and is now looking for his forever home.  Fairfield is known for his beautiful fluffy tail and playful friendly personality. Thanks to a Last Hope volunteer, Fairfield was rescued, vetted, and fostered and now just needs YOU to make his dream of a Forever home come true! For more information, check out his webpage.

If kitties are what you crave, you can also attend Last Hope's upcoming cat and kitty adopt-a-thon! Come pick out the perfect new addition to your family...
