Statement from Nassau County Exec Ed Mangano on Attack at Jeruselem Synagogue

Nassau County, NY - November 18th, 2014 - Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano along with Acting Commissioner Thomas C. Krumpter would like to assure the residents of Nassau County that the Police Department is aware of the recent Synagogue attack in Israel and are continuously monitoring world events. We have been in constant contact with our partners at the Federal, State and local law enforcement level in regards to any potential threats that may affect our county.

We are taking the necessary steps to assure the safety of the residents and businesses of Nassau County. At this time there have been no known threats to any person(s) or institutions in Nassau County.

Anyone who becomes aware of any suspicious activity pertaining to possible threats should contact 911 immediately.
