Mastic Beach, NY - November 17, 2017 - For the second consecutive year, William Floyd High School students had the opportunity to participate in a special Veterans Day episode of “Meet the Leaders at School” with New York State Senator Tom Croci, a commander in the United States Navy and a war veteran, along with U.S. Army Captain Joshua Summer. Students from Lisa Taiani’s AP Government class along with cadet leaders from the William Floyd NJROTC had the opportunity to ask questions of the two leaders about public and military service, governance, veteran support, current events and more.

“It was a pleasure participating in the Veterans Day Meet the Leaders program at William Floyd High School,” said Senator Croci. “I could not be prouder of our Floyd students. They demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of current issues and posed thoughtful questions to the panel.”

“Meet the Leaders” is Altice Connects’ signature public affairs program hosted by Pat Halpin. The full episode of “Meet the Leaders at School” featuring William Floyd students is available online at this link. Please also enjoy this album of photos from the day’s events.
