Students to Perform at Long Island Music Hall of Fame Holiday Concert Alongside Inductees and Surprise Guests

Melville, NY - November 17, 2017 - Four outstanding Long Island music programs have been selected to perform at a special holiday concert presented by the Long Island Music Hall of Fame (LIMHoF). Students from Great Neck Orchestra and Chorus, Oyster Bay Wind Ensemble, Herricks Jazz Ensemble, and Uniondale Show Choir will perform with LIMHoF inductees and surprise guests. This festive afternoon filled with holiday classics will benefit music education and scholarships on Long Island.
 
“Long Island Music Hall of Fame is honored to have the opportunity to assist in supporting the education of the up-and-coming music talent on Long Island,” said Tom Needham, LIMHoF Education Chairman. “We’re proud to have these students share the stage with some of our favorite local acts to kick off the holiday season.” 
 
Students will share the stage with local talents that include saxophonist Richie Cannata (an original member of the Billy Joel band), drummer Albert Bouchard (an original/founding member of the Blue Oyster Cult), and other exciting surprise guests! Together, they will perform songs of the season as well as music made famous by LIMHoF inductees and other guests. 
 
This can’t-miss event is a great way to get into the holiday spirit and will surely be a day to remember for students, parents, and community members alike.
