Man Busted by Police for Scrawling Graffiti on Buildings Throughout New Hyde Park

New Hyde Park, NY - November 17, 2017 - The Third Squad reports the arrest of a New Hyde Park man for Making Graffiti that occurred on Sunday, September 24, 2017 at 1:06 am in New Hyde Park.
 
According to detectives, patrol officers responded to a parking lot located at 2054 Hillside Avenue in regards to a 911 call for graffiti. Upon arrival officers observed the letters “JEKS” spray painted on the side of the building.
 
A subsequent investigation was conducted and Edward Daly, Jr., 27, was arrested without incident. The defendant is responsible for spray painting “JEKS” on multiple locations in New Hyde Park.
 
Defendant Daly is charged with two (2) counts of Making Graffiti and two (2) counts of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree. He was issued an appearance ticket.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
