Islip Terrace Man Charged in Theft from Local Fire District

Islip Terrace, NY - November 16, 2016 - A 57 year old Islip Terrace man is charged with grand larceny for allegedly stealing approximately $50,000 from the Islip Terrace Fire District, Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota said.

Between December of 2011 and April of this year Perry Rocco, while an employee of the District, allegedly used Fire District credit cards for personal use and falsified Fire District business vouchers.

Rocco pleaded not guilty to a charge of grand larceny in the third degree.

Defendants are entitled to a fair trial with the burden on the government to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.
