Written by Long Island News & PR  |  16. November 2018

Uniondale, NY - November 16, 2018 - The ninth annual Holiday of Giving celebration, co-sponsored by Nassau County Legislator Kevan M. Abrahams (D – Freeport) and Glory House Rec. Inc. and hosted by Turtle Hook Middle School is just around the corner – and they’re calling on residents to join in the efforts to bring smiles and cheer to scores of deserving children in the First Legislative District.

Before the event, which will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 at Turtle Hook Middle School in Uniondale, Legislator Abrahams and his staff are collecting donations of new and unwrapped toys for children of all ages.

“The holidays should be a time when families can enjoy the company of loved ones, but financial pressures often get in the way. By supporting our Holiday of Giving, you can help lift that burden for families and replace it with joy,” Legislator Abrahams said.

In addition to holiday gifts for children, photos with Santa, raffles and prizes, face painting, cookie decorating, holiday crafts, refreshments, vendors with free giveaways and much more are planned as part of the Holiday of Giving event.

Donors can make contributions by Friday, Nov. 30 at Legislator Abrahams’ office at the Nassau County Legislature, 1550 Franklin Ave., Office 140, Mineola, N.Y. 11501. For additional information, contact Legislator Abrahams’ office at 516-571-2455 or email kabrahams@nassaucountyny.gov.
