Cops: Drunk Driver Caught with Firearm, Ammo, and Crack Cocaine After Valley Stream Vehicular Accident

Valley Stream, NY - November 16, 2017 - The Fifth Squad reports the arrest of a S. Ozone Park man at 10:30pm on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 in Valley Stream.
 
According to Detectives, defendant Johnathon Fraser, 24, while operating a four door Mercedes Benz eastbound on Sunrise Highway did turn left onto Green Acres Road West. At approximately 10:05pm, the defendant sideswiped and struck two vehicles that were stopped in traffic at a red light in a left turn lane. 
 
Of the three drivers and total four passengers, only one passenger was transported for the complaint of pain to a local area hospital. Subsequent to the investigation it was determined that the defendant was intoxicated. The defendant refused the Officers lawful orders and resisted arrest by refusing to be placed into custody and attempted to flee the location. 
 
The search incident to arrest revealed the defendant was in possession of a black colored revolver, ammunition and a substance believed to be crack cocaine.
 
Defendant Fraser is charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon, Criminal Possession of a Firearm, Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, DWI and Resisting Arrest.  He will be arraigned on Thursday, November 16, 2017 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
