Smithtown, NY - November 16, 2016 - For his Eagle Scout community service project, Nick Sanders of Boy Scout Troop 888 repaired the Vietnam Era Hauppauge Honor Roll and added a “Welcome Home” sign to it, which is located at the Billy Richards Park, a former county legislator and presiding officer of the Suffolk County Legislature, in Smithtown. “I congratulate you and thank you for your scouting activities and Eagle Scout project which have helped to make our community a better place for us all. I applaud your efforts on behalf of the Vietnam Veterans,” said Suffolk County Legislator Rob Trotta.

Legislator Robert Trotta represents the 13th Legislative District, which includes Smithtown, Fort Salonga, Kings Park, San Remo, Nissequogue, Head of the Harbor, and St. James, as well as most of East Northport and parts of Northport and Commack.

Legislator Trotta serves on the Legislature’s Economic Development, Environment, Planning & Agriculture, Health, Public Works, Transportation & Energy, and Ways & Means Committees.
