While Sweetwaters might be relatively unknown to locals, the coffee and tea cafe has almost 40 locations across the U.S. and its making it’s first inroads on Long Island with its newest location in Smithtown.

Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea started in Ann Arbor, Michigan in the early 1990s by a husband-and-wife duo. The company has stiff competition from other local shops and that other brand so ubiquitous on Long Island.

This first foray into the area will be a start.
