Middle Island, NY - November 2013 - On Monday, November 11^th, Legislator Sarah Anker joined the veterans and members of the Middle Island and Longwood community at Bartlett Pond Park for a Veterans Day service. The event included a flag ceremony and wreath-laying in front of the War Memorial and remarks from elected officials.

“I commend the Longwood community for recognizing the work of our veterans,” said Legislator Anker. “I am honored to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country.”
