Arrest Made in Connection with Armed Robbery of Floral Park Jewelry Store; Two Suspects Still at Large, Cops Say

Floral Park, NY - November 13, 2017 - The Robbery Squad reports the arrest of a Brooklyn woman for a Robbery that occurred on Saturday November 11, 2017 at 1:52 PM in Floral Park.
 
According to detectives, the defendant Keisha Payton, 24, did enter Atelier Jewelers located at 10 Woodbine Court along with 2 other unknown male subjects. The 2 male subjects displayed handguns and demanded jewelry from the 2 employees in the store. 
 
All 3 subjects then left the store after removing an unknown amount of jewelry from the store. Keisha Payton was apprehended by responding Floral Park Police Officers as she fled out of the store. She was placed into police custody without incident. 
 
The 2 other male subjects fled scene in an unknown direction. The first male is described as a male black, 5’11”tall average build wearing dark clothing and a black mask. The second male is described as a male black 6’0”tall; thin build wearing dark clothing and a black mask. There were no injuries reported.
 
Defendant Keisha Payton is charged with Robbery 1st degree. She was arraigned on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at First District Court in Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
