Santa Visits Greenport and Riverhead Sites of the Railroad Museum of Long Island

Riverhead, NY - November 12, 2015 - You too can meet Santa real soon at the Railroad Museum of Long Island's annual Holiday Parties. The fun begins on Saturday and Sunday, December 5th and 5th 2015 at the Railroad Museum of Long Island’s (RMLI) Greenport Museum site, 440 Fourth Street at the tracks, from 11:30 AM till 3:00 PM. Santa arrives from the North Pole at noon and goes directly to his special chair in the Museum’s LIRR Freight House.

The fun continues on Saturday and Sunday, December 12th and 13th, 2015; from 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM at the RMLI Restoration and Visitor’s Center located at 416 Griffing Avenue in Riverhead, New York. Santa arrives at noon from the North Pole and goes directly to his special chair in the Museum’s Historic Lionel Visitor’s Center.

Admission is FREE and everyone is welcome.

Light refreshments will be served.  For the train lover on your list, visit our Museum’s displays. Our Gift Shops will also be open for holiday shopping.  Santa then departs for the North Pole at 3:00 PM each day.          

A Lionel Polar Express Toy Trainset will be raffled. The winner does not have to be present. RMLI will ship it to the winners.
