Police Seeking Man Responsible for Violent Assault at Long Beach Dunkin Donuts

Long Beach, NY - November 13, 2015 - The Long Beach Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in locating the following subject in connection with a violent assault that occurred at Dunkin Donuts, 1070 W. Beech Street, Long Beach on Sunday, November 08, 2015 at approximately 10:00 pm.

According to detectives, Derrick D. Patten, 23, of Long Beach violently and without provocation slashed a male victim across the face with an unknown weapon. The victim was transported to a local hospital and required over eighty (80) sutures.

Derrick D. Patten is described as a male black, brown eyes, 5’8” tall, approximately 190 pounds and long black braided hair. He was last seen wearing dark clothing with a dark colored hooded sweatshirt.  Patten is also known to wear thick rimmed glasses.
