Suspect Wanted for Mugging Huntington Station Man at Knifepoint

Huntington Station, NY - November 12th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the man who stole a vehicle at knifepoint from a Huntington Station man last month.

A Willets Place resident was approached by a man, dressed as a woman and armed with a machete, in his driveway on October 29, 2014 at approximately 6:30 a.m.  The man demanded the victim to turn over his car keys and when the victim refused, the man forced the victim to drive him in the vehicle. A short time later, the victim pulled over the vehicle on Sunnywoods Drive and Pigeon Hill Road in Huntington Station and was able to exit the vehicle.

The suspect fled in the vehicle, a 2012 Honda Odyssey, which was later recovered in the parking lot of St. Anthony’s High School, and the victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Huntington Hospital.

The suspect was described as light-skinned, between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 5 inches tall with a thin build and was wearing a long, dark ladies wig, oversized sunglasses and a baseball hat.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
