Four Arrested for Uniondale Robbery

Uniondale, NY - November 12th, 2014 - The First Squad reports the details of (4) four arrests for Robbery that occurred on Monday, November 10, 2014 at 10:18 pm in Uniondale.

According to detectives, First Precinct Police Officers received a call for a robbery with a gun in the vicinity of Maple Avenue and Braxton Street.  Upon arrival officers observed a vehicle fleeing the scene fitting the description of the automobile involved with the crime.  Officers followed the vehicle and tried to conduct a vehicle traffic stop. The vehicle increased speed and failed to stop.  Upon reaching the intersection of Midwood Street and Lenox Avenue the vehicle finally came to a stop and 4 male subjects exited the automobile and fled the scene on foot. 

Defendants Tremaine Devore, 19, of  Front Street Hempstead, Christian Oglesby, 23, of Lenox Avenue, Uniondale, Jovon Noel, 17, of Lord Avenue, Inwood and Lance Lyttle, 24, of Fulton Avenue, Uniondale were apprehended a short time later and placed under arrest. Proceeds were a cell phone and a wallet containing personal papers and an undetermined amount of US currency.

The four defendants are being charged with two counts of Robbery 1st and 2 counts of Robbery 2nd Degree.  After an investigation it was determined that the defendants were responsible for a robbery on November 2, 2014 in Uniondale. Defendant Oglesby committed a robbery on June 10, 2014 also in Uniondale and was found to have an open warrant from Nassau County dated July 23, 2013 for Criminal Possession of Marijuana. He is additionally charged with 2 counts of Robbery 2nd Degree, Menacing 2nd Degree, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree. Defendant Devore is additionally charged with Robbery 1st Degree and 2 counts of Robbery 2nd Degree for a Robbery committed on November 1, 2014. 

All four defendants are being arraigned on November 12, 2014 at First District Court, Hempstead.
