Albany, NY - November 11th, 2013 - Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced a Veterans and Military Families Summit, to be held in December in Albany, which will continue the state's work to support veterans and the military community.

“New York State offers a wide array of support help our veterans and their families, including employment tax credits, assistance to enter the workforce, and other services, but we can and must do more,” Governor Cuomo said. “This Veterans Day we are honoring their sacrifice by recommitting ourselves to making New York a place that does everything possible to welcome and support our service members. This Summit will provide an important opportunity for the State to find new ways to serve those who put their lives on the line to serve our nation.”
