The Long Island Chapter of The Alzheimer's Association Presents a Free Caregivers Conference During National Family Caregivers Month
Hauppauge, NY - November 10, 2016 - The Alzheimer’s Association is again offering a free Caregivers’ Conference to support and educate caregivers of people with dementia. The event takes place on Friday, November 18 from 8:30am – 4pm at the Hyatt Regency Long Island, in Hauppauge, NY.
Highlights of the conference include:
- Medical overview of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias
- Advance directives
- Behavior and communication challenges
- MOLST (Medical Order of Life Sustaining Treatment)
- Coping with caregiver stress
- Caregiver panel
- Community resources
