This Week's Adorable Adoptable is a Champ!

Written by Allison Matos  |  11. November 2016

LI's Adorable Adoptables is a weekly column by Allison Matos, a lifelong Long Island resident who has been advocating animal adoption since 2012. Allison's weekly posts highlight local animals in need of adoption, and cover general animal welfare topics as well.

Champ is a 2 year old boy, who is came to the TOH Animal Shelter as an owner surrender. His owner was a wheelchair bounded veteran who was no longer able to care for him, so Champ was given to a family member. Unfortunately, the family member also was unable to care for Champ, and now he is at the shelter, very much in need of another chance.

Champ is know as the shelter's little genius boy, knowing a ton of commands including "roll over"! As per his previous owner, Champ is house trained and crate trained. Champ is also friendly with other dogs, and seems to feel more comfortable with females, than males. Champ is looking for a savvy owner, who will work on issues that were reported in the previous home, of protecting the owner.

If you think you got what it takes to be this boy's new best friend and to give this boy the loving home he deserves, please call for more information: 516-785-5220 or come visit at: 3320 Beltagh Avenue, Wantagh NY 11793.

As always, please remember to always adopt- never shop...pass it on!
