Shirley, NY - November 8th, 2013 - The Suffolk County SPCA is asking anyone with information on a cat found dead in Shirley to come forward.

Roy Gross, Chief of the SPCA said that the cat was found propped up in a sitting position in a shopping cart in the vicinity of the Coastal Gas Station on William Floyd Parkway in Shirley.  Gross said that the cat was found with blunt force trauma to the side of its head.
 
Anyone with information is asked to call the Suffolk County SPCA at 631-382-7722.  All calls will be kept confidential.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
