Comptroller George Maragos Will Hold Business Roundtable for Minority, Women and Veteran Business Owners

Mineola, NY - November 4, 2016 - Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos will hold a free Business Roundtable for Minority, Women & Veteran Business Owners on Tuesday, November 15th, 2016 at the Theodore Roosevelt Executive & Legislative Building at 1550 Franklin Avenue, Mineola, New York 11501.

This free event aims to increase business owners’ involvement in government contracting in Nassau County and neighboring municipalities.  Government agencies routinely purchase products ranging from promotional goods and office supplies to building materials and equipment, generating opportunities for nearly every type of small business.  The Roundtable also features discussions of subcontracting opportunities associated with larger projects, including the $900 million Bay Park STP Hurricane Sandy Recovery Program and the $4 billion LaGuardia Airport Central Terminal B redevelopment.
