Suffolk County SPCA Hosts Live Reptile Training Class

Bayport, NY - November 7th, 2013 -  The Suffolk County SPCA will be hosting a live dangerous reptile handling class on Friday November 8th and Saturday November 9th at the Bayport Fire Dept. Headquarters, 251 Snedecor Ave., Bayport, NY.

Roy Gross, Chief of the SPCA said that the training is necessary because of the recent influx of dangerous and illegal reptiles on Long Island. Gross said that a renowned Herpetologist  will be conducting the training with his assistants.

Along with SCSPCA officers at the training will be personnel from Suffolk County Police Emergency Services, New York State Environmental Conservation Police and Fish and Wildlife.
