NCPD Crime Alert: Mineola Walgreens Robbed, Male Suspect Sought

Mineola, NY - November 7th, 2013 - The Third Squad reports the details of a Robbery which occurred on Wednesday, November 6, 2013 at 7:05 P.M. in Mineola.

According to detectives, a female victim, 28, while working at Walgreens located at 1 W. Jericho Turnpike, was approached by a male Hispanic who told the victim to touch his pants, where he held what she believed to be a handgun.  The suspect produced a demand note and told the victim to open the manager’s office.  The victim complied giving the suspect access to the safe where he removed an undisclosed amount of cash along with three to four thousand dollars worth of USPS Postal Stamps.  

The suspect is described as 5’ 6” tall, 150 lbs with a thin mustache wearing a camouflage jacket, blue jeans and a black baseball cap with white fields on the side.  He fled on foot southbound on Roslyn Road.  There were three employees and no customers in the store at the time of the Robbery.  No injuries were reported.
