Suffolk Police Report Man Killed in Brentwood Hit-and-Run Crash

Brentwood, NY - November 6, 2017 - Suffolk County Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a pedestrian in Brentwood on Sunday, November 5, 2017 at approximately 3:20 a.m.
 
Luis Felix Gomez-Cuji was crossing Suffolk Avenue, just west of Eastern Avenue, when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene. A passing motorist found Gomez-Cuji lying in the roadway and called 911 at approximately 3:20 a.m.
 
Gomez-Cuji, 26, of Bay Shore, was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.
 
Detectives believe the vehicle that struck Gomez-Cuji was either a red- or burgundy-colored sedan, possibly with damage on the driver’s side.
