Nassau Police Conducting Manhunt for Suspect in Stabbing Death of Rockville Centre Deacon

Roosevelt, NY - November 6, 2017 - The Homicide Squad is investigating a Homicide that occurred on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:22 pm in Roosevelt.
 
According to detectives, First Precinct Officers responded to an aided case on East Roosevelt Ave. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of Deacon Patrick Logsdon, 70, the program manager of Anthony House that is run by St. Vincent dePaul of the Diocese of Rockville Centre, who had been stabbed numerous times. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene by a Nassau County Medical Technician.
 
This investigation is ongoing.
 
Detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in locating subject Andre Patton, 47, of Roosevelt. This subject is considered armed and dangerous. He should not be confronted, please call 911 immediately.
