Ebola And Beyond: Are We Ready? How Healthcare Professionals Will Deal With The Possible Outbreak Of Ebola On Long Island

Garden City, NY - November 6th, 2014 - The Adelphi University Center for Health Innovation will feature Nassau County Medical Center President and CEO, Dr. Victor F. Politi, MD, FACP, as part of a forum to discuss how Long Island healthcare is prepared for Ebola and other such public health emergencies on Thursday, November 6, 2014 at 6:00-8:00 pm. Local hospitals and clinics are continuing to take  precautions against the possibility of Ebola reaching this area, beginning with a more detailed screening process for patients, and also fully equipping staff.
 
The program will also include Dr. Samuel Stanley, President of Stony Brook University, as well as other regional experts in the field of infectious disease and public health.
