Freeport Man Arrested in Connection with Numerous Burglaries Throughout Nassau County

Nassau County, NY - November 2, 2017 - Third Squad detectives, along with detectives from the Major Case Bureau’s Burglary Pattern Team and the Second Squad, report the arrest of a Freeport man for numerous burglaries that occurred throughout Nassau County.
 
According to detectives, Stephan Tirado, 27, after a subsequent investigation, was identified, located and placed under arrest by detectives on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 9:25 pm in Hempstead
 
Tirado was found to be responsible for entering and attempting to enter numerous commercial businesses in the Hicksville, Westbury, East Garden City and Carle Place areas by prying open the businesses rear doors or windows. Tirado removed or attempted to remove property from the following establishments including food, cash and other various business related property.
 
  • 10/2/17 – Nelly’s Taqueria, 356 W. Old Country Road, Hicksville
  • 10/3/17 – Nelly’s Taqueria, 356 W. Old Country Road, Hicksville
  • 10/22/17 – Home Depot, 1320 Corporate Drive, Westbury
  • 10/22/17 – New York Community Bank, 615 Merrick Avenue, Westbury (Attempt)
  • 10/22/17 – Houlihan’s, 725 Merrick Avenue, Westbury
  • 10/22/17 – Redtree Radiology, 1570 Old Country Road, Westbury
  • 10/28/17 – K&G Store, 650 Stewart Avenue, East Garden City
  • 10/29/17 - Wells Fargo, 103 Old Country Road, Westbury
  • 11/1/17 – Boston Market, 419 Old Country Road, Westbury (Attempt)
  • 11/1/17 - Burger King, 409 Old Country Road, Westbury       
Tirado is charged with eight (8) counts of Burglary 3rd Degree and two (2) counts of Attempted Burglary 3rd Degree. He will be arraigned in First District Court, Hempstead on 11/2/17.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
