NCPD: Bellrose Terrace Man Arrested After Stabbing Victim Repeatedly in Head with Screwdriver

Bellrose Terrace, NY - October 31, 2018 - The Third Squad reports the Arrest of a Bellrose Terrace man for Attempted Murder that occurred on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 11:36 a.m. in Bellrose Terrace.
 
According to detectives, an argument occurred between two individuals in a Bellrose Terrace residence. Defendant Brandon Karran, 23, attacked a male victim, 20, choking and stabbing him multiple times in the head with a screwdriver. Upon police arrival, the victim was located on the front lawn and transported to a local hospital for treatment. The defendant was taken into custody without incident.
 
Brandon Karran is charged with Murder 2nd Degree (Attempt), Assault 2nd Degree (Attempt), Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and Obstruction of Breathing. He will be arraigned on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
