Officials: Massapequa Park Man Arrested After Assaulting Nassau Police Officer

Massapequa, NY - October 31, 2017 - The Seventh Squad reports the arrest of a Massapequa Park man for an Assault which occurred on October 30, 2017 at 5:52 pm in Massapequa.
                 
According to detectives, patrol officers responded to a disturbance at a dog park located at Louden St. and Clocks Blvd. Upon arrival, they discovered two people having an argument. One of them, Lek Domni, 59, became combative with officers. He then punched and elbowed the responding officer in the face. The defendant was then placed under arrest. The officer was injured and transported to an area hospital for treatment.
                 
Defendant Domni is charged with Assault 2nd degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration and Resisting Arrest. He will be arraigned on Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at First District Court, 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
