Nassau County Police Dept: East Meadow Robbery Under Investigation

East Meadow, NY - October 30th, 2013 - Third Squad detectives are investigating a Robbery that occurred on October 29, 2013 at 3:30 pm in East Meadow.

According to detectives, while in the parking lot of Stop and Shop, 2425 Hempstead Turnpike, the 54 year old female victim, while loading groceries into her car, was approached by a male black in a hooded sweatshirt that was covering his face. The subject pushed the victim against her car and forcibly ripped her pocketbook from her shoulder. He then jumped onto a black mountain bicycle and was last seen riding westbound on Hempstead Turnpike.
