Legislator Anker Celebrates Longwood Library Grand Reopening

Middle Island, NY - October 29, 2015 - On Sunday, October 25th, Suffolk County Legislator Sarah Anker joined trustees and elected officials at the grand reopening and ribbon cutting of the newly renovated Longwood Public Library in Middle Island.

“I congratulate Longwood Public Library on their beautifully renovated building,” said Legislator Anker. “After two years of renovations, I am happy to see the library will have a permanent home with an abundance of additional resources to offer the growing community.”

The Longwood Public Library opened to unveil many new features such as reading nooks, a large children’s section, and energy efficient technologies. The library has over 1,000 visitors a day and serves towns such as Ridge, Coram, Middle Island and Gordon Heights. For more information, please visit the library website.
