Valley Stream Man Arrested for DWI After Revived with Narcan by Police

Valley Stream, NY - October 27, 2017 - The Fifth Precinct reports the arrest of a Valley Stream man at 7:55pm on Thursday, October 26, 2017 in Valley Stream.
 
According to Police, Officers observed defendant Sean Daly, 49, sitting in the driver’s seat of his 2018 Nissan pick-up truck at S. Terrace Place and W. Merrick Road. As Officers approached, they observed the vehicle was running, a female passenger, 40, was seated in the front and a seven year old female was seated in the rear seat.
 
The defendant was unresponsive to verbal communication and touch so ultimately three doses of Narcan were administered to the defendant and he was transported to a local area hospital. The defendant was treated and released. No other injuries were reported.
 
Defendant Sean Daly is charged with DWI (Leandra’s Law), DWAI, two counts of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle and Unlicensed Operator. He will be arraigned on Friday, October 27, 2017 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
