Police Report Elderly Greenlawn Couple Injured During Residential Burglary

Greenlawn, NY - October 26, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a burglary that left two people injured at their Greenlawn residence on Thursday, October 25.
 
A man entered a home in the vicinity of Broadway at approximately 11:25 p.m. and demanded cash and credit cards from the residents, an elderly couple. The man displayed a small knife and slashed the female resident causing lacerations to her left arm and hand. He also punched the male resident several times in the chest. The man then fled the scene with stolen cash and a credit card.
 
The male and female victims were transported to a local hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
 
The suspect is described as a thin black male approximately 5 foot 10 inches to 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark plaid jacket, dark pants, and a scarf over most of his face.
