Drugged Driver Crashes into Oceanside Residence, According to Authorities

Oceanside, NY - October 26, 2018 - The Nassau County Police Department reports the Arrest of a Seaford Man for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs that occurred on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 12:20 a.m. in Oceanside.
 
According to police, units responded to an auto accident at a residence on Hull St. Upon arrival, they found a gray 2017 Nissan had caused damage to the front of the residence and was resting in the bushes. The operator of the vehicle, Daniel Maltese, 30, was found to have glassy bloodshot eyes, slurred speech and was unsteady on his feet. He was taken into custody without incident.
 
Daniel Maltese is charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs as well as multiple VTL violations. He will be arraigned on Friday, October 26, 2018 at First District Court, Hempstead.
 
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
