Hicksville, NY - October 25, 2017 - Homicide Squad detectives report the details of a serious auto accident, in which a pedestrian was struck, that occurred in Hicksville on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at 3:15 A.M.
 
According to detectives, a 2007 Toyota Camry, operated by a female driver, 18, was travelling westbound on W. John St./Charlotte Ave., when she lost control of her vehicle, mounted the sidewalk and struck a male pedestrian, 23.
 
Nassau County police ambulance transported the pedestrian, who suffered leg and spinal injuries, to a local hospital. He is listed in serious condition. The female driver was also transported to a local hospital for shoulder pain.
 
The investigation is ongoing.
