8th Annual IGHL Fashion Fling & Luncheon Was a Big Hit

Westhampton Beach, NY - October 25, 2016 - Independent Group Home Living Program, Inc., (IGHL), providing services for men, women and children who have intellectual disabilities, with 70 group homes and 25 day programs located throughout both Nassau and Suffolk Counties,  hosts dozens of fundraisers annually.

One of the most popular fundraising events on the East End is their annual IGHL Fashion Fling & Luncheon at Westhampton Country Club in Westhampton Beach, N.Y.  This year's event took place on Sunday, October 23rd and it was another huge success!

“This event is about bringing women together who support IGHL and its mission,’ says Dori Geier, Sr. Director, Human Resources, IGHL, co-founder of the IGHL Luncheon & Fashion Fling withMary Beth Lichtneger, IGHL’s Chief Financial Officer. “This event recognizes these women as being a vital part of IGHL’s family and in this way we honor them.” “These women are mothers, sisters, cousins, grandmothers and aunts of some of the people we care for; others are valued supporters,” adds Lichtneger. “Together we are strong in fighting for and standing up for those who aren’t able to.”

Willis sponsored for the 8th straight year. The beautiful flowers that adorned each table were provided by 1800FLOWERS. Additional sponsors include Mutual of America, Jackson Lewis, Cafara Greenleaf Investments and AETNA. The acclaimed Greg Williams Quartet performed throughout the luncheon and fashion show.

Janine Nebons, G.M. Tanger Outlets Riverhead & Worth New York, sponsored the fashion show for the fourth straight year. Worth New York provided the outfits and Peggy Palmer, Store Manager for Worth New York, was thel ‘MC’ of the fashion program. “Worth New York is an up-scale women's clothing company inspired by a passion for excellence, luxury and sophistication.
