Uniondale High School Evacuated After Call of Bomb in School, Police Arrest 17-Year-Old

Uniondale, NY - October 22, 2016 - The First Squad reports the arrest of a Uniondale teen for Making a Terroristic Threat on Friday, October 21, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. in Uniondale.

According to detectives, Uniondale High School received a phone call stating there was a bomb in the school.  School officials evacuated the building and notified police.  While officers were at the school a second call was received by the school that there was a bomb inside.  These were the fifth and sixth such calls received by the school since September 15th, all from the same phone number. 

An investigation identified Tahmari Lowe, 17, of Uniondale as the individual who was making these calls.  First Squad detectives located the defendant at his home and placed him under arrest without incident. 

Lowe is charged with six counts of Making a Terrorist Threat and will be arraigned on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at First District Court in Hempstead.
