Rocky Point, NY - October 23, 2015 - Legislator Sarah Anker joined the Rocky Point Historical Society for their 19th Annual Tea on Sunday, October 19th, at VFW Post 6249 in Rocky Point. The annual tea brought together historical society members, community residents and elected officials for a special program that included a variety of teas and sandwiches, raffle prizes, and guest speaker Lou Del Bianco, grandson of Mount Rushmore’s chief carver Luigi Del Bianco.

“I commend the Rocky Point Historical Society for their wonderful contributions to promote our local heritage,” said Legislator Anker. “The presentation was incredibly informative; the teas, finger sandwiches and desserts were absolutely delicious and it was a pleasure to be in the company of the many attendees who enjoyed the event.”

The tea featured guest speaker Lou Del Bianco, grandson of Mount Rushmore’s chief carver Luigi Del Bianco, who spoke about his grandfather’s historic contribution in the creation of the Mount Rushmore National Monument.
