New Little Free Library Opens in Medford

If you like reading, then you're really going to love this. A Longwood School District teacher and a couple of her former students teamed up to make a Little Free Library at Eagle Estates Park in Medford. Little Free Libraries promote book exchanges through small (often cute and creative) public bookcases.

According to a press release by Brookhaven Town, Medford resident and Longwood teacher, Grace Evola and her former students, Audrey Miller and Andrew Ferriolo constructed the new Little Free Library, which are stocked by residents who donate books at several locations throughout the town.

Brookhaven Town Councilman Michael Loguercio thanked them for their time and effort.

"I am so happy to have the opportunity to dedicate this great addition to the Eagle Estates Park in Medford,” he said at a ceremony earlier this month. “I know all our families will enjoy this library for many years to come and share in the 'take a book, leave a book' option… We have so many great people in my district that are always looking for ways to give back and help others."
