SCPD Crime Alert: Woman Wanted for Using Stolen Credit Cards for Shopping Spree

Commack, NY - October 20th, 2014 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate the woman who used a stolen credit card to make several purchases during a two month period.

A woman used a stolen Staples credit card on several occasions and purchased more than $10,000 worth of gift cards from Staples stores located in Commack, Medford, Hauppauge, North Babylon, Stony Brook and Bay Shore between April 25 and June 12, 2014.  The woman is described as white, approximately 40 years old with brown curly hair and sometimes wears glasses.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
