Congressman Suozzi Applauds Bipartisan Alexander-Murray Healthcare Deal

Written by Long Island News & PR  |  18. October 2017

Long Island, NY - October 18, 2017 - Today, Congressman Tom Suozzi (D – Long Island, Queens), who serves as Vice-Chair of the Problem Solvers Caucus, released the following statement shortly after a bipartisan health care agreement was reached in the Senate.

“This is what finding common ground looks like. The Problem Solvers Caucus outlined a plan to stabilize the individual health care market place earlier this year, and I’m glad to see action is finally being taken by the Senate. While this bipartisan plan still needs to pass the House and Senate and be signed by the President, this is a great step forward to save and improve the Affordable Care Act so we can provide all Americans with high quality, affordable health coverage,” said Congressman Suozzi.

In August, Congressman Suozzi wrote an op-ed on CNN.com with Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) on the Problem Solvers’ health care proposal. It can be read in full here
