Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Huntington Station Vehicle Crash, SCPD Says

Huntington Station, NY - October 17, 2018 - Suffolk County Police Second Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Huntington Station on Wednesday, October 17.
 
A 27-year-old man was crossing New York Avenue from west to east, approximately 30 feet south of Pulaski Road, when he was struck by a southbound 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck. The pedestrian, whose name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of a serious leg injury.
 
Jose Martinez, 40, of Huntington Station, was also struck by the vehicle but was not injured. The driver of the Chevrolet, Patrick Anderson, 31, of Huntington Station was not injured.
 
The Chevrolet was impounded for a safety check. Detectives are asking anyone with information on this crash to call the Second Squad at 631-854-8252.
