Authorities Conducting Search for Suspects in Multiple Assaults at Westbury Night Club
Westbury, NY - October 17, 2017 - Third Squad detectives are investigating multiple assaults that occurred on Friday, October 13, 2017 at 3:00 am in Westbury.
According to detectives, Third Precinct officers responded to the “Oasis” night club, 270 Post Avenue, for a large disturbance. Upon arrival they were alerted to an assault that occurred outside the club. A male security guard, 24, was slashed in the face by one of three unidentified male black patrons who were ejected from the club.
It is then believed that the same three subjects confronted a second victim who was standing on the corner of Post Avenue and Belmont Avenue. One of the three subjects, who was described as wearing a cast on his right arm, withdrew a handgun, fired a shot and struck the 24 year old male in the back and shoulder area.
The victims were transported to area hospitals for treatment regarding their non-life threatening injuries.
