Long Island, NY - October 17, 2016 - Former federal prosecutor and State Senator Todd Kaminsky’s reelection campaign has been endorsed by:

  • The Nassau County Police Benevolent Association
  • The Police Benevolent Association of New York State
  • The Rockville Centre PBA
  • The Nassau County Police Superior Officers Association
  • The Nassau County Detectives Association
  • The Nassau Police Conference

Kaminsky is running for re-election following his historic, April 19th Special Election victory to replace convicted former Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos.

After receiving the PBA’s endorsement, Senator Todd Kaminsky said, “I am deeply humbled and grateful to receive the endorsement of these courageous men and women. As a former state and federal prosecutor, I worked hand-in-hand with law enforcement and I know how hard their job is. Officers work tirelessly, day in and day out, to protect our communities and keep our families safe. Long Island continues to face rising challenges from drug trafficking, gang activity, and illegal guns, and our police and law enforcement officers are on the front lines - selflessly battling to reduce crime across the South Shore. I look forward to continuing to work with the law enforcement community to make sure they have the tools and resources they need to do this thankless work.”

Endorsing Senator Kaminsky, Nassau County PBA President Jimmy Carver said: “Every day and every night, law enforcement officers in Nassau County put their lives on the line to protect our community and it’s comforting to know that Todd Kaminsky has our back -and that’s why we have his. Todd has worked tirelessly to get illegal guns off the streets, fight the scourge of heroin that has plagued our communities, and dismantle gang activity that is on the rise on Long Island. A former prosecutor, Todd knows the challenges that law enforcement officers face and we trust that Todd will continue standing up for Long Island in the State Senate.”

About Todd Kaminsky
Senator Kaminsky has spent his career fighting for Long Island families and working to end government corruption. As a federal prosecutor representing Long Island, Brooklyn and Queens, and as acting deputy chief of the Public Integrity Section, Todd took down corrupt elected officials, drug kingpins and other major felons.

In April, 2016, Todd won a Special Election to replace Dean Skelos and immediately began serving the South Shore in the State Senate. During his time in the Senate and State Assembly, Todd fought for and won ethics reforms, one of the largest middle class tax breaks in state history, aid for Sandy victims, and a historic $20million increase in funding for South Shore school districts.
