NCPD: Hewlett Harbor Woman Arrested After Driving Drunk With Multiple Minors in Vehicle
East Hills, NY - October 16, 2017 - The Nassau County Police Department reports the details of a Leandra’s Law arrest at 12:45am on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in East Hills.
According to Police, defendant Casey J. Bodian, 48, of Hewlett Harbor was observed operating a black colored 2016 Chevrolet Suburban NY registration CTW9813 westbound on Northern Boulevard. The Officer observed the defendant failing to signal and maintain the traffic lane.
A Vehicle and Traffic Law stop was conducted at Glen Cove Road and the N. Service Road at which time the investigation revealed that the defendant was driving while intoxicated. The defendant was placed into custody without incident.
There were five passengers in the vehicle including three female minors, ages 11, 13, 14 years. The children left the scene in the custody of their father. No injuries were reported.
Defendant Casey J. Bodian is charged with three counts of Aggravated Driving while Intoxicated (Leandra’s Law), three counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, DWI and multiple traffic violations. She was arraigned on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in First District Court 99 Main Street, Hempstead.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
