NCPD: Woman in Custody After Biting, Kicking Police Officers at Oyster Bay Festival
Oyster Bay, NY - October 15, 2018 - The Second Squad reports the arrest of a woman from Syosset for an Assault that occurred on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 5:15 p.m. in Oyster Bay.
According to detectives, the victim, 46, was collecting parking lot fees for the Oyster Bay Festival on the corner of West Main Street and Larrabee Avenue when a female subject refused to pay. Police responded and directed the subject to exit her vehicle.
During the investigation the subject bit an officer on the left arm causing a contusion. Officers attempted to place the subject under arrest when she resisted by kicking her legs. Molly Dutrow, 24, was eventually arrested and transported to the 2nd Precinct.
A subsequent investigation revealed that the defendant was involved in unrelated incidents.
The defendant, Molly Dutrow, is charged with Assault 2nd Degree, Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument 2nd Degree, Identity Theft 1st Degree, Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd Degree, Resisting Arrest and four (4) counts of Petit Larceny. She will be arraigned on Monday, October 15, 2018 in First District Court, Hempstead.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
