COASTAL FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM NOON TO 4 PM EST MONDAY ...COASTAL FLOODING EXPECTED TONIGHT INTO MONDAY... The National Weather Service in New York NY has issued a Coastal Flood Advisory, which is in effect from noon to 4 PM EST Monday. The Coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect. * LOCATIONS...Southwestern Suffolk. * TIMING...From noon to 4 PM EST Monday. * COASTAL FLOOD IMPACTS...Up to one foot of inundation above ground level is possible in low-lying areas near shorelines and tidal waterways. Some roads and low lying properties including parking lots, parks, lawns, and homes and businesses with basements near the waterfront will experience shallow flooding. * SHORELINE IMPACTS...The combination of elevated water levels and high surf along the ocean beachfront should also result in moderate beach erosion and localized splashovers around the times of high tide.

Suffolk County, NY - October 12, 2017 - The Missing Persons Squad is investigating a Missing Juvenile that occurred on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at 12:00 in Elmont.
According to Detectives, Joselyn Vasquez, 14, was last seen leaving her residence on foot in an unknown direction. She is described as 5’ tall, 100lbs., brown eyes and black hair.
NOTE: Joselyn Vasquez has been reported missing and subsequently found by authorities multiple times, including on July 4, July 12, and July 20 of 2017.
Detectives request anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of the above missing juvenile to contact the Missing Persons Squad at 516-573-7347 or call 911. All callers will remain anonymous.
