NCPD Hate Crime Alert: Threatening Letter Sent to LIGLBT Office in Woodbury
Woodbury, NY - October 11th, 2014 - The Second Squad is investigating a Bias Incident that occurred in Woodbury on Thursday, October 9, 2014 at 12:00 pm.
According to detectives, a 30 year old female office worker at the Long Island Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender Service Network located at 20 Crossways Park Drive North received a letter from an unknown person that threatened gays and lesbians as well as an unnamed worker because of the organization they run. A similar incident occurred at The LIGLBT Service Networks other location which is at 34 Park Avenue, Bay Shore. It is being investigated by the Suffolk County Police Department. The investigation is ongoing.
