Authorities Seeking Suspect Who Used Counterfeit Currency at Middle Island Store

Middle Island, NY - October 9, 2017 - Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Sixth Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify and locate a man who used counterfeit currency at a Middle Island store earlier this year.
 
A man used six counterfeit $20 bills to purchase a Vanilla gift card at Walmart, located at 750 Middle Country Road, on August 1 at approximately 3:30 p.m. 
 
Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
