West Hempstead, NY - October 9th, 2014 - The Major Case Bureau, Crimes Against Property Squad reports the arrest of a West Hempstead man at 1:45pm on October 8, 2014 for Grand Larceny.

According to Detectives, from June 13, 2013 through August 20, 2013 defendant Patrick Uzoefune, 55, of Hempstead Avenue did represent himself as a manager for Greenline Energy LLC to the forty-seven year old male victim. He engaged in a course of conduct convincing the victim that he could assist with the removal of property tax penalties.  The defendant deposited one of the victim’s three checks into his personal account.  The victim’s loss is approximately $3500.00 U.S. currency. The defendant was present at 970 Brush Hollow Road for an interview and was arrested without incident at 1:45pm.

Defendant Uzoefune is charged with one count of Grand Larceny 3rd Degree and will be arraigned on October 9, 2014 in First District Court 99 Main Street Hempstead.
